D&M Racing Season ends at Governor's Cup
"This was my most successful season and we had a lot of fun!” -Mike Henry
(9-28-2008) Sacramento Ca.- After a season of high gas prices, a nitrous explosion and financial troubles, the D&M Racing Team fared pretty good scoring runner-up, semi-final and quarter-final finishes in the West Coast Top Sportsman series. The little 565ci T&S Enterprises built nitrous engine tuned by legendary nitrous guru Pat Watson of Watson Performance put on stellar performances this season posting a best of 7.23 @ 193mph.
"We were picking up 3 to 4 hundreds at every event and 5 at the Governor's Cup and still haven't changed the nitrous jets. With the help of Pat Watson, this was my most successful season and we had a lot of fun!” -Mike Henry.
We pulled into the last event knowing we had to run fast in order to pull off a win and after qualifying 3rd we knew we had what it would take. But as fate would have it we didn't win the race, going out in the 2nd round, but we did win as we received a standing ovation from the fans as we towed our 1981 Kustom Koffin Camaro back to the pits.
"I just wanted to thank all my sponsors for making this year a huge success: T&S Enterprises, Gotelli's Speed Shop, Kustom Koffin Apparel, IBEW Local 6, Safe Jacks, Watson Performance, Sunset Garage, QuarterMileDesigns, Spec Rite Torque Converters, all the fans, my family and the West Coast Top Sportsman Association" -Mike Henry
