King Tut Cracks his Crown

(6-5-2012) Joliet, IL - Todd Tutterow in his “Moove Off!!!” Event sponsored ProExtreme 67 GT 500 Mustang had a horrific crash on Friday first round of qualifying at the ADRL Gateway Nationals in Joliet, IL.
With 30 years of experience under his belt Tutterow says, “This is the worst crash I have ever had.” When asked what caused the crash, Tutterow responded,” I really don’t know, it was on a pretty good pass when the car started hazing the tires and from there it felt like it was on ice, then I was just along for the ride. I smacked the wall hard but Thanks to Larry Jeffers for a well-built race car, ISP- Kris VanGlider, Stand 21,Safety Solutions –A Division of Simpson, Gateway International Safety Crew, Ambulance guys and the ADRL staff. I suffered mostly bruises to my ribs and my left wrist. That is a real testament to the safety improvements that have been made to the cars in drag racing.”
Tutterow says,” I have been over whelmed with all of my fans, friends, family and fellow competitors concern. I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers, it really has meant a lot to me and my family.”
Tutterow may be down but don’t count him out, word is he is working hard on plans to be at the next ADRL race, The US Drags V at Virginia Motorsports Park on June 22nd and 23rd.
