Re: 2007 ADRL Rules
This really doesn't have anything to do with Outlaw 10.5 at all does it? It looks like a small tire, small spoiler Pro Mod class to me.
It's kind of disappointing really. I was looking forward to seeing real Outlaw 10.5 racing at ADRL events. Oh well.

Re: 2007 ADRL Rules
I was surprised to say it mildly when I started hearing rumbles about the new rules a few weeks ago.
Well with the no weight breaks it will atleast give the Gary Coleman's and the Vern Troyers of the world a possible place to race. Like in horse racing....find the smallest most talented jockey/driver you can find and put them in the car. I wish them success in their Extreme 10.5 program.

It is very dissapointing. This class is for the guys that aren't quick enough to qualify for pro nitrous/extreme or who can't handle a real backhalf 10.5 car
I bet that they will have a very small turnout of REAL Outlaw 10.5 cars.

Re: 2007 ADRL Rules
I've been thinking about this. Yes it's a disapointment. Outlaw 10.5 won't be a part of ADRL. But......with the tire being the limiting factor, this is going to be a Pro Mod type class where blown, nitrous and turbo cars will probably be evenly matched. Should be interesting on that level.

Re: 2007 ADRL Rules
Nick I know quite a few people are dissapointed in the rules, but I really think this will turn out to be something really big. I think you will see a lot of tracks all over the country jump on this due to fact that more cars will fit these rules. Outlaw 10.5 is my favorite class by far. Luckly I will have the best of both worlds since I live right in the middle of ORSCA raicng. Kenny just created another Rockingham situation in that a lot of people are knocking him for making a change. At the end of the year he will sit back with a big grin knowing he just created something special. I really think there is room for both classes and hope that my beloved ORSCA can pick this class up the following year if it is successfull. John Fore III.

Re: 2007 ADRL Rules
I remember when the rules came out for the pro-mod classes with no weight limit everybody complained , but now everybody loves it. When 10.5 first hit the scene it was a class to stop a lot of the street racing off of the streets and on to the track. Twenty years later it has become one of the most exspinsive class out there. You have to be a millionair to run 10.5 nowadays. When this class started to become interesting they took old prostock type cars added a big nitrous motor some head & taillights some mufflers and added some weight to meet the 3000lb weight limit and had some fun and the cost wasnt too bad. Now fast foward into the year 2003 and beyond , with the rules orsca imposed with the so called stock frontend it costs about 80 to 100,000 or more to just have a chassis built. What Kenney has done has brought the cost to run this class down to half and have fun racing as far as the no weight limit, its the same with the pro-mods why waste time having to weigh before and after every run when that time can be spent racing. about mid season this class will be the one to watch, mark my word on it. Thanks

Re: 2007 ADRL Rules
i like the idea of no weight. but thats about it. not to pull at the man but the guy with the blown opel gt thats gonna convert his car over to 10.5! man come on! build another car to run the class. its gonna take all the fun outta the class with pro mod cars with small tires running in it. what a joke. i geuss we should send our new car back out and turn it into a extreme 10.5 car. i thought kenny was on to something but im my mind this is a mistake. oh well to each his own,ill race where i can and hope for the best this year
