2007 ADRL Schedule
Kenny Nowling regrets to inform everyone that the Gateway Drags will not be held this year. No replacement will be made on the schedule.
Kenny and George Kase of Maple Grove Raceway have reached an agreement to hold the Inaugural U.S. Drags in Reading next year. Bristol, TN and Martin, MI are also being considered for the 2008 season.
These were hard decisions to make but they are the right decisions for the organization. ADRL has grown from the original Dragstock event to a six race series in 2005, a seven race series in 2006 and an eight race series this year. Below is the final schedule for this year. There will be an official announcement by ADRL tomorrow regarding the schedule change but remember you read it here first.
2007 Flowmaster American Drag Racing League Schedule
February 16-18 3rd Annual ADRL SpeedTech Winter Drags Montgomery, AL
March 2-3 ADRL RacingJunk.com Dragpalooza III Houston, TX
May 4-5 3rd Annual ADRL Georgia Drags Valdosta, GA
June 1-2 3rd Annual ADRL AMS Staff Leasing Summer Drags Huntsville, AL
July 6-7 Inaugural ADRL Independence Drags Radford, VA
August 24-26 Inaugural ADRL Chevy High Performance Drags Norwalk, OH
September 14-15 ADRL Eastern Race Fuels Dragstock IV Rockingham, NC
October 12-13 3rd Annual ADRL GetWorkComp.com World Finals Ennis, TX

Re: 2007 ADRL Schedule
Cant blame him one bit, st.louis was a clusterxxxx last year, timing system problems the whole race, they were down to running one lane because the other did not work. To bad it's a nice centrally located track for everybody.

True but that had absolutely NOTHING to do with the final decision.
By the way, the only "timing system" problem was a flickering "Pre-Staged" bulb in the left lane due to a lightning strike. It was a distraction but had no bearing on ETs. The lane "worked" fine. It was only during the first (Friday night) qualifying session that the last few drivers elected to run in the right lane only. In case you forgot, they ran qualifying and THE ENTIRE RACE on Saturday until it rained.

Re: 2007 ADRL Schedule
Yup, your right Brett, it wasnt the whole race,The left lane lights didnt work for a quite a while, they'd stage and the lights wouldn't come down. they switched tree's and it still didnt work for quite a while, but they got it figured out. Wasn't knocking your track Brett, stuff happen's but it was frustrating for awhile there. It's a shame I love st.louis, maybe they can get it worked out for next year. See you this weekend. Kelly

Re: 2007 ADRL Schedule
It's not really my place to say so I won't. It's nothing political, though.
Kelly, please don't think I wouldn't trample Gateway into the ground if they deserved it...I do it to them all the time!
In the case of the ADRL race, however, it was just one of those ugly weekends.

I'd have to agree with you, Brett. It was an ugly weekend, but we heard the track was under new management and we were looking forward to going back. Great facility!
